The 2021 St Barbara’s Festival consisting of the Miners Memorial Service and the St Barbara’s Parade will commence on Thursday, 2 December and conclude on Sunday, 5 December.
Starting with the Miners Memorial Service, family members, mine management, mine rescue personnel, and the broader community will come together in reflection and remembrance of those who have lost their lives in the mining industry.
The Festival will conclude with the St Barbara’s Parade. This extravaganza showcases our community. Companies, not for profits, schools, prospectors, animals and community groups march down historical Hannan Street, celebrating and embracing the year that was. From people on foot through to a CAT 793 Haul truck, there is something for all ages to see.
